The Dialogues for the Future of Energy 2017 (DEMEX) portray a space for high level meetings and events, organized by Mexico´s Federal Government, through the Ministry of Energy. It´s objective is to reflect on future trends and scenarios for energy, innovation, public policy, finance, safety, sustainability and social equity, as well as to promote an open conversation among key actors, institutions, companies and organizations to build worldwide synergies. The dialogues will take place through keynote speeches parallel events, workshops, and debate forums, in an inter-sectorial and interdisciplinary international context.
DEMEX will focus on renewable energies and energy efficiency, public policies, financing, research, technological development, innovation, and the energy trilemma (safety, sustainability and social equity).
Renowned national and international figures, specialists in transversal renewable energies and energy efficiency issues, such as:

During Mexico’s International Renewable Energy Conference 2017 (MEXIREC), a High Level Ministerial Session will be held to specifically explain how countries can fulfill the Paris Agreement.
A joint statement will be prepared for DEMEX´s closure ceremony to summarize these dialogues’ main conclusions and set a perspective for the following years.
A cooperation agreement between the Mexican Government and the French Development Agency (AFD), will be signed.
